TESTIMONIALS & REVIEWS
We are so fortunate to have loyal customers. Read what some of them have to say about our projects.
It was the best experience ever for our remodel/addition. I know how stressful it can be to find a contractor, yet alone one you can trust. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with them. They are highly trustworthy. They were in/out of our house for 3 months. Tearing apart the roof above our garage and adding an extra bedroom was a pretty big project and it went flawless. They were ahead of schedule and kept us stress-free. The thing I liked the most was they gave us the complete package. They have an architect, an engineer, construction crew, etc. We didn’t have to shop around for an architect here, an engineer there and attend a homeowners meeting/fill out a form, etc. they did it all for us!!! From start to finish, they delivered on every promise and even finished the project early. There were no extra costs or hidden problems. They were straight forward and honest. They took ownership, are all well experienced and professional. John the owner even showed up one weekend (on his day off) to check the tarp because we had extremely high winds and rain. The craftsmanship was phenomenal. It was a very “hassle-free” experience and I highly recommend them for your needs. They can do pretty much anything.
I want to thank John and his crew for the outstanding work they provided on the recent addition to my home. They were prompt, efficient, and even cleaned up my space daily. As a homeowner contractor, John made my work almost seamless, he’s almost like ‘family’ now. As a small businesswoman, I can appreciate the time and effort John and his staff put into my project. Thanks is too small a word.
We had heard First Choice was a quality operation, so we asked them to bid out our window replacement project so we could upgrade our house and take advantage of the Energy Tax Credit Rebate. The job lasted 3 days, with quality new construction installation and John Capestany (the owner) even went above and beyond the contract by replacing interior window sills that had accumulated water damage. He is not a man to have a finished product that doesn’t look top-notch. Wrap up was solid, with additional siding replacement (again a John add on to tighten up the exterior presence). They even found someone to recycle our old aluminum windows as we are very green conscience people so they wouldn’t go into a landfill. All in all, if you are looking for a contractor to conduct any type of improvements, additions, repairs, or new construction, I would recommend these guys. The whole crew is professional with decades of experience.
John and First Choice Carpentry did a major renovation of my Fall City home and, even after several years have passed, I remain thoroughly delighted with the job. In particular, I found John to be an excellent craftsman, a strong general contractor, a team player, and a completely honest person. I would not hesitate to work with him again. What started as replacing an entry way, naturally evolved into a floating addition resulting in a spectacular valley view, addition of a carport, new decks, window replacement, re-siding, re-roofing and complete re-painting inside and out. The work flowed naturally, with materials arriving in sequence and a strong team of sub-contractors ready to knock out their part of the project. When things went awry (as they inevitably do on a project of this size), John was right there to work with me and the sub-contractor to a positive outcome. There isn’t a day that goes by without my really appreciating the warmth and quality of my renovated home.
John did a great job designing and building our deck at our cabin in Easton; It really turned out great. Now we can be closer to the river and entertain guests.
We have used First Choice Carpentry for three projects. John did a first class job of transforming an attic and makeshift sunroom into a multi-use study with great space and light. He also turned an exposed deck into a beautifully finished porch that is great for entertaining. These jobs entailed a new roof and when a subsequent wind storm put two trees on our house, it was the extra bracing from John’s work that saved a bedroom and its occupant from extensive damage. He was quick to rescue us from the storm and everything was rebuilt as if nothing had happened.”
